BAM

NOFOKONO

An eight-minute improvisation from the edge of rhythm and invocation.

Low strings, skin, breath, pulse. A voice does not simply enter the groove — it becomes part of it.

NOFOKONO

BAM is not a band in the usual sense. It is a collision of three elements: bass, percussion, and the human voice. No ornament. No safety net. No polished distance.

NOFOKONO begins as pulse and breath, then slowly becomes something closer to invocation: physical, raw, and unguarded. The bass holds the ground. Percussion moves like a body. The voice circles, pushes, fractures, and returns.

The title arrives from the final sung phrase — part cry, part spell, part warning. It names the piece only after the piece has already happened.

Bass. Skin. Voice. Nothing to hide behind.

BAM — NOFOKONO

First transmission. Extended improvisation. Bass / percussion / female voice.

Listen
Blurred anonymous crowd in motion
Body memory. Movement without fixed faces.

After the heat, a still surface. After the voice, the word remains.
